It's that time of the year again...

... when I'm seeing fellow DLSU MBA students taking their Oral Comprehensive Exam (OCE) -- and this time, they are my batchmates who are on to their last hurdle before getting that title. I feel so happy for them. After almost three years, those sleepless nights and sacrifices finally paid off. I feel sad at the same time, thinking that I could have been one of them as well. I've been wanting so badly to finish school. But due to circumstances such as personal choice of getting specialization (additional 6 units), taking only one subject last term because of work and being unfortunate to be affected by the shift in academic calendar, I will be taking my OCE next year. *sigh*

When I started my MBA, I calculated the number of  years I should be able to finish it. I painstakingly took three subjects in the past just so I can finish it before the academic calendar shift but then, things didn't happen as planned.

I'll be enjoying a long break -- no more classes until August. Should be given a choice, I would have wanted to finish graduate school this year. But then, as they say... I'll have my own time.

Congratulations batchmates -- Greggie, Bjorn, Grace, Abbey, PD, Mike and Astrid. You all deserved it!

My fellow Iska, Yza and Ge, we can do this together! Let's just enjoy our loooong vacation and the remaining terms before we face the dreaded OCE. I haven't heard anyone who failed OCE this term unlike last term when a lot of people failed it. I'm sure that when it's our time, we will pass it with flying colors.

I know it's not all about the title -- it's about the lessons I've learned and the friendships I've built. In God's time, I'll have that elusive title. :)
