Today, I was able to watch the news on T.V. (Good thing because I never knew televisions do exist until today lol). My heart goes out to all Cebuanos and Boholanos. I've been to Bohol last July 2011 and it's one of the places that I really fell in love with. It's a very peaceful and beautiful place. My heart crushed when I saw some of the oldest churches that we've been to were severely damaged by the earthquake. We were lucky to be able to witness the beauty of Baclayon Church and Dauis Church and it's sad to see that those churches including a whole lot more of ancient churches in shambles. Really really heartbreaking sight. :/
I've been to Cebu just this year and though I wasn't able to visit some of the churches there, it pains me to know that those ancient treasures - a symbol of faith and Filipino culture - were also destroyed. Apart from the damaged churches, my heart also goes out to our fellow countrymen. Earthquake death toll continues to rise and Bohol is also now under a state of calamity.
