Where You Are Now is Exactly Where God Wants You to Be

One day, survivors from the 9/11 tragedy had a small gathering. On that day, they shared the reasons why they were still alive. They were alive because of small, insignificant interruptions.
One man was late for work because his son started kindergarten that morning.
For another guy, it was his turn to bring donuts for the staff.
Another guy put on a new pair of shoes that morning. But along the way to work, he developed a blister. So he stopped by a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
And that's why he was still alive.
Interruptions are not so bad after all.
Friend, next time you're annoyed because you're stuck in a traffic,or you have to answer a phone call,or you have to repair your car, or any other little thing that may annoy you...
Thank God for that Gift of Peace, the Gift of Pause.
Remember: Where you are now is exactly where God wants you to be...

No Saturdate today :(

He's in Laguna today... because of work. Huhuhu. Busy-ness. Busy na nga ko, MAS busy pa siya. Hehehe! Oh well. At least we get a chance to miss each other. It's not healthy if we see each other everyday -- mahahawa ako sa ka-cornyhan nya. Wahaha! So I was at home as early as 4pm. My father was actually shocked to see me at home. His first reaction: "Oh bakit ang aga mo?" Same with my mother. When she saw me: "Oh,di ka pumasok?" Pffft. Anyway, I wanted to go home early so I didn't plan anything for today. I just attended Toastmasters meeting and then went straight home even if SM North is calling me "Patty..mag-mall ka munaaaa." I decided to go home early so I can start reading the 5 Cases assigned to us by our Law professor..add the Constitution that we need to memorize. Gah. As soon as I arrived home, I texted Marion:

Me: Baby, I'm home! Isn't it wonderful? Haha!
Marion: Aga baby. Just left Sta.Rosa. I love you! Mwah.
Me: I love you too. Onga eh. Nagulat din sila dito sa bahay.Aga ko. No Saturdate dinner with you eh. Huhu.
Marion: That's okay baby. We can make bawi naman. Promise.
Me: Why so conyo baby? Haha! Yuh you should make bawi ha. I told other Camanava peeps that I have to book a sched with you pa 'coz ur so busy!
Marion: U know naman baby, working for the #1 company. but don't you worry, ur like Toyota, u r #1.
Me: I know right! I'm so proud of u nga eh..working for the #1 company. But I don't want to be like Toyota.I don't want to be #1..'coz after #1, there's 2, 3.. I want to be the only one. Hahaha!
Marion: Omg like u r making banat again baby!
Me: Hahaha! yuh. u kasi eh..I miss u na eh. Don't make me miss u so much. nahawa na tuloy me sa kacornyhan mo.
Marion: hahahaha! oh you ha, i'm not corny noh!
Me: Ay I'm so sorry for the insult baby. You're not corny pala.. U r super corny nga pala. Hahaha!
Marion: K.
Me: Ah ganon. K lang talaga sagot. Haha! where r u na? dito na me.
Marion: I'm in ur heart na baby.Wala ka na hahanapin pa.
Me: Wow. and I thought ur not corny! Haha

Hahahaha! Okay. That's how sabaw we talk.  Disclaimer: We're not like that always. Hahaha!
I still miss him though. 5 days paaaaaa.

Oh, Weddings!

This afternoon, while my clubmates and I were looking for an alternative venue for the Toastmasters meeting, Kat and I talked about weddings. Kat is a professional wedding coordinator and I told her I'm willing to help her should she be needing additional coordinators. I told her I'm willing to do it for free!! Well, as long as get to eat for free, okay na kahit di na niya ko bayaran! Hahaha! There was a point in my life when I dreamt of becoming a wedding coordinator. And this is my chance to be one - I wanted to know the nitty-gritty details of wedding prep so I'm asking her to be an apprentice. She then asked me, 'Bakit Patty, kelan niyo ba balak ni Marion?' HOMAYGASH. Ang hirap ng tanong! Wahaha! I told her, 'Nakuuuu matagal pa. Nagiipon pa si Marion eh' Nyahaha! Si Marion talaga nagiipon eh no. Seriously, I don't have any plan of getting married soon but I don't plan to get married at the age of 35 noh! Kamusta naman ang egg cells ko nun - century egg na (as one friend told me when I answered her that I want to get married when I'm 30+) . Hahahaha so as early as now, I'm planning in advance. Kat then gave me tips on how I can save a lot of moolah when I'm preparing for my own wedding. She also said that the three important things that I can splurge on are these: the food (because that's what guests remember), the photography services (it will capture the precious moment and you'll show the pics to your kids in the future so better choose a good one) and the rings (uhh..well..because it's ours). Hmmm. I'll take that in mind. HOMAYGASH tumatanda na nga ako. Before I'd only talk about debuts and parties pero ngayon...weddings na! Sheeesh.

And because I'm still crafting of my future wedding in my head (siguro ganun nga ata talaga pag girls haha), I'm now watching wedding onsite videos of people. I just love love love watching wedding vids. Makes me feel happy and bubbly and sappy. The two below are my favorites - well for one, they are videos of my friend and officemate who already got married. Second, andun ako sa video. Hanapin niyo koooooo. Hahahaha!

Punzalan - Rosario Wedding
Abad - Casaje Wedding

And oh I suddenly remembered a conversation I had with boyfie after attending my friend's wedding. I was the maid of honor then.

Me: Hay baby. Sayaaaang. Kaw kasi eh. Sakto naman nung naghagis si Maan ng bouquet wala ako. Di ko tuloy napanood. Di tuloy ako nakaagaw. Haha!
Marion: Ay onga no baby? Tsk. Diba after nun panty naman yung ihahagis? *serious face*
Me: WHAT?!?!?!?!?! ANONG PANTY?!?!?!?!? *I almost fell off my chair*
Marion: Di ba? Yung kukunin ng groom sa bride?? Tapos hahagis pagaagawan ng boys?
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Marion: Ay mali pala. panty hose pala yung hinahagis.
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Marion: Baket ka tumatawa?!????
Me: Babyyyyyyyyyyyyy. ang cute cute cute moooooo. HAHAHAHAHA! First time mo ba naka-attend ng wedding???? Sige ah sa wedding natin, panty ko ang ihahagis. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! So naisip mo talaga na huhubaran ng groom yung bride no? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Marion: Second time. Eh ano ba kasi kinukuha ng groom dun sa bride??? Stockings ba???
Me: Graaaaabe baby. Aatakihin ako sa puso sayo. Garter yun!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA
Marion: Ah ganun...malay ko ba. Eh galing sa loob ehhh.
Me: Magrarason ka pa. HAHAHAHAHA Oh sige for a change sa wedding natin, panty hahagis mo ha. Para maiba tayo. HAHAHAHAHAHA

HOMAYGASSSSSSSH. Funniest conversation I had with him. Napakasabaw. Until now, I still tease him about that.

Maybe it’s really love, not time, that heals all wounds. :)

Like-y!

Several months ago, I hosted the Kumon Valenzuela ASHR Awarding. Marion, the ever supportive boyfie, watched the event. After that, I received this message:
WOW. "Ayos pala taste ko eh. Good job me." - That was my thought bubble. Ever since Marion and I got together, I've been receiving comments from different people - from the Laybare girl who threaded my eyebrows, to my officemates and HIS officemates and friends - saying that the two of us look alike.  Nyahaha! How could that happen?!?! Ibig ba sabihin tumatangos na ilong ko at lumiliit na mata ko?? Nevertheless, we always take it as a compliment. According to studies, couples who resemble each other end up marrying each other.
