Happy midweek!

There are all kinds of love in the world, but never the same love twice.” —F. Scott Fitzgerald

This rings a bell.

Have I been in my 4-year ago self, I would have actually relate to these lines. Things change and people change and it's always for the better. I hope. We meet so many people in one lifetime and yet we only truly connect with a selected few of them.

"Sometimes I think I’ve felt everything I’m ever gonna feel and from here on out I’m not going to feel anything new. Just lesser versions of what I’ve already felt.”

i felt a little sad. why????

Flashback Friday

Today, twenty summa cum laude graduates lead the 103rd general commencement exercises of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman. I miss my alma mater. When I saw pictures of the graduates, I felt tiny regret of not pursuing my masters at UP. I could have had a chance to wear sablay for the second time around. But, oh well. This was my choice.

I miss wearing comfortable clothes, walking around the campus, eating isaw and most of all, I miss being a student. Life is easier and carefree then.  It has been n years. It's hard being an adult.

seductive look. lols.

I've spent more than an hour trying to figure out what my Google password is. Hence, I've lost all the words that I've been wanting to say.

My point is... kung sino ka man na nagiisip sa akin ngayong gabi, bukas mo na lang ako isipin please!!! I could use some sleep right now. Hahaha!

My life according to pictures - 1st Half of the year 2014

I know its too late but I found this in my draft folder. Haha! So I just need to publish this. I think the 2nd half of the year 2014 deserves a post as well, but then I may be too lazy to write about it then.

*****************

I have been an ardent user of Instagram. I think it's one of the coolest applications ever made. Haha! It has become my online tool to make up for my short memory. Lol. And because I have abandoned this blog for the past few months, I thank IG for keeping track of the memories.

Let me give you a peek into what my timeline looks like and what really happened in real life. Below are some of the pictures that I posted for the past n months and the story behind it. I couldn't post all haha, it might take me months to finish this blog if I do. Lol.

This is one of the rare times I ask myself, "Bakit ba ko nagMBA?! Eh di sana natutulog lang ako ngayon" oh well...pinili ko to eh. Aja! I can do this! #mbalife #delayedgratification

I took the hardest (so far) subject of the MBA program last January and it made me ask myself "huhu bat ko ba pinapahirapan sarili ko?!" Lol. It's the only subject that I took that made me read and re-read the book a hundred times, okay that's an exaggeration. But seriously, ask any La Salle MBA student what's the hardest subject aside from Strama and Finman would be the answer. Glad I passed it with flying colors!

to the guy who woke up at 3am just to personally deliver this white rose on Valentines at 5:30 in the morning... to the guy who always piss me off by waking me up at 5:30am everyday of my life (and he knows I'm not a morning person)... no words can describe how much happy I am because of you.

This is sooooo kesooo. Haha! I'm not a morning person but I'm happy my better half (naks) is. He woke up so early just to make sure that he'll be the first one to greet me "Happy hearts day!!" with matching white rose on Valentines. Thank you! Thank you! I'm one lucky girl.

post-Valentine's date at PNKY Cafe

Last February, my family and I went to Baguio to join the Panagbengga Festival. Boyfie and I snuck some time together to have a date at famous PNKY cafe.

my new corporate profile pic! :) #redefiningstandards

This picture was taken during AXA's pictorial for the Sales Convention.  They hired professional makeup artists and photographers for this shoot. Thank you AXA. I honestly think it's a great company to work with. Oha, I look sooo... demure hahaha!

my first #ootd post haha! - ocular visit at Sofitel yay!

I just had to take this picture because I love the feels of my skirt, or was it pants? Hahaha! This was taken at Sofitel -- my favorite hotel so far! We've done our ocular visit for my oh-so-distant wedding. And yeah, we got some free vouchers at Vietura which is located inside Sofitel. Sorry guys, this was a big deal for a regular folk like me. Hahaha!

Happy happy birthday to my loves :)

Celebrated Marion's birthday at Aristocrat with his family. I'm glad he was surprised with the sudden singing of the crew. Haha, my bad I wasn't able to take a video of it.

Of all the companies I've worked with, I think AXA knows how to throw a good party/event.

This was my workstation in AXA. I've been with the company for only 5 months.
Celebrating our anniversary at Sofitel. Yay!!!

It's that time of the year again...

... when I'm seeing fellow DLSU MBA students taking their Oral Comprehensive Exam (OCE) -- and this time, they are my batchmates who are on to their last hurdle before getting that title. I feel so happy for them. After almost three years, those sleepless nights and sacrifices finally paid off. I feel sad at the same time, thinking that I could have been one of them as well. I've been wanting so badly to finish school. But due to circumstances such as personal choice of getting specialization (additional 6 units), taking only one subject last term because of work and being unfortunate to be affected by the shift in academic calendar, I will be taking my OCE next year. *sigh*

When I started my MBA, I calculated the number of  years I should be able to finish it. I painstakingly took three subjects in the past just so I can finish it before the academic calendar shift but then, things didn't happen as planned.

I'll be enjoying a long break -- no more classes until August. Should be given a choice, I would have wanted to finish graduate school this year. But then, as they say... I'll have my own time.

Congratulations batchmates -- Greggie, Bjorn, Grace, Abbey, PD, Mike and Astrid. You all deserved it!

My fellow Iska, Yza and Ge, we can do this together! Let's just enjoy our loooong vacation and the remaining terms before we face the dreaded OCE. I haven't heard anyone who failed OCE this term unlike last term when a lot of people failed it. I'm sure that when it's our time, we will pass it with flying colors.

I know it's not all about the title -- it's about the lessons I've learned and the friendships I've built. In God's time, I'll have that elusive title. :)

The Valentine "Surprise"

I always tell Marion I don't want him spending that much on Valentines. I'm not the type who would demand (I sometimes hint, but not demand hihi) him to do this, bring me to this place, give me that et cetera. Yes, I think it's every girls dream to be treated like a princess BUT not just only on V-day but everyday as well. But maybe, V-day is just an exception to be cheesier. For the years we've been together, we never celebrated Valentines in a very grand manner. The first time we celebrated it as a couple...it was well... a flop ordinary. Hahaha! But looking back, we'll just laugh about it. Don't want to go into details about it and let alone it be charged to experience. Last year was sort of an improvement from Valentines 2013. And I've realized more than ever... I'm one lucky girl. Hihi *imagine my round eyes turning to heart-shaped*

I'm writing this blog so I can let him read this and note on the very important points -- the mundane things he should consider in order for him to execute a perfect "surprise" for me. Hahaha!

This is our Valentines 2015 story:

Since the start of February, he has been staying at his uncle's condominium unit at Cubao. This made his life a little bit easier and convenient considering he lives at Bulacan which is 2-3 hours away from Makati. I have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, hence on February 12, he waited for me finish my class and we went home together. We took a bus home and he alighted at Cubao, gave him a stern reminder that went like this: "Baby, pagdating mo sa condo, magritwal ka na ha. Para sakto paguwi ko sa bahay, tapos ka na. Tutulog na tayo agad". He has these habits before sleeping which made me sometimes always think na mas babae pa siya sakin. When I got home, I immediately cleaned up and texted him, "Baby you may call me now. Let's sleep na. I'm soooo tired" to which I got a reply "Wait lang baby. May ginagawa pa ko". So I waited for about 15 minutes and called him. He rejected my call and I'm actually getting impatient -- tired and sleepy is an understatement. I texted him again, "Baby, ano pa bang ginagawa mo? Can I sleep na? Di ko na talaga kaya. Just text me if matutulog ka na. I love you". His reply is "Wait lang baby. Umiinom pa ko ng tea". I was about to snap when he called and told me that he's about to sleep as well. I was actually bordering to being mad and exhausted and he was cheering me up, apologetic for taking too long to call. I love you". We both said sorry and I felt bad that we had to end the night that way.

The next morning (February 13), he called me at 6:30. My irritation from last night already gone and we were both exchanging our morning greetings. This is how our conversation went:

Me: Good morning baby!!
M: Good morning din baby!!
Me: Kakagising mo lang? Paalis na ko bahay.
M: Yup, kakagising ko lang.
Me: Sorry kagabi, sobrang pagod lang.
** heard roosters crowing at the background**
Me: Ano yun baby? Bat may manok?
M: *laughing histerically*
**heard roosters crowing again**
Me: Nasan ka??? Bat may manok sa condo??
M: *still laughing and choking at the same time* Ba..byyy.. isusurprise kasi sana kita.
Me: So nasa bahay ka? Umuwi ka sainyo? di ka papasok ngayon?
M: Papasok.
Me: Wehhh. Hahaha susunduin mo ba ko mamaya? Yey!
M: Di ah. Papasok ako.
Me: Okay push mo yan. Patahimikin mo yang mga manok sa background. Hahaha! Laters baby. Paalis na ko house. I love you.
M: I love you too.

At 8:30AM he sent a SMS to check on me if I'm already in the office. I replied, "Bat di ka tumatawag? Maingay pa ba ang mga manok sa background? Nasan ka na?" He insisted that he was at the office and he'll be having a meeting in a few minutes. I pretended that I believed in him. At 6PM, he called me and asked me what time I'll be going home. I asked him, "Nasan ka na ba baby? EDSA ka na ba?" He replied, "No, paalis na ko ng office." He picked me up after work and when I got inside the car I said, "Magpaliwanag ka. Bat may manok sa background kanina? Hahaha!". He said, "Huhu baby fail. sinira ng manok ang surprise ko sayo."

I later found out that he was on leave and he wanted to personally deliver the roses at our office. But because I already half-knew that he was just at home and he has a surprise for me, he just revised his plan -- he just went to our house to deliver roses for my mom, tita and cousins before picking me up. I was actually teary-eyed and overwhelmed with the sweet gesture -- felt guilty at the same time for being irritated at him the night before for not calling asap. I realized that the reason why he was rejecting my call the night before is because he doesn't want me to know that he won't be staying at Cubao and will be going home to Bulacan to prepare for his "surprise". The surprise which was ruined by a.... rooster. Hahaha!

To my one true love: I'm lost for words but I wanted you to know that I always thank God for giving me someone as wonderful as you. I love you forever!

P.S. He's been eating chicken for lunch and chicken for the past week -- Naghihiganti ata sa mga manok na sumira sas mga plano niya. Wahahaha!
